dubs and mama. this is his usual mode of transportation. the sling. you can see the insulation behind me.
more insulation in the bonus room and lots of little blue electrical boxes. see the little room on the right with the angled door? shhh……it’s a surprise secret hideout for the children! we’ve scattered three of them throughout the house…..they know about the other two but think that this one is a closet.
below is a picture looking into the bathroom. the room beyond (with the window) is a laundry room. so…..the bathroom. see the white plumbing line and silver air duct? right between will go an old wall mount sink i picked up yesterday and is currently in the back of my truck. so excited! i hope we can make it work.
windows, shingles and dormers oh my!

the roof is almost done….

these are the breaker boxes being installed in the basement. when i went out to the house i asked the technician…”so how are the fuse boxes coming?” …. apparently that is pretty old school? he said “uh…they’re breaker boxes”. whatever.
framing is almost done
these are the two samples of stone that we are trying to decide on for the front of the house. it will cover the entire center section.

the picture below is the girl’s bunk room. instead of separate bedrooms for each of the children we decided to do a boy’s bunk and a girl’s bunk. that way, Lord willing, if we ever have another child we won’t have to RE figure the room situation. i never liked having to do that in this house so this is a great solution for us! 🙂
this is the back of the house. dancy and hank are standing in front of the garage.
marking the house with scripture

When we go out to see the house I have been taking sharpie markers with me. We have all been taking turns writing scripture on various parts of the house! 🙂 It has been really important to us, throughout this entire process, to remember that God is the most important, the all giving, the everlasting. Things and people in this world will come and go but HE alone is our desire.
