This beauty came from a local thrift shop….I could kick myself because we removed one JUST like this from our old house and donated it…shoot.
I scratched it up with sandpaper, sprayed a bit of primer on it, then spray painted it!
It’s all finished and hanging above the table in the schoolroom! I’ll be posting pics of that and my most recent chair re-do soon. For TONS more perusing of others’ thrifty treasures head on over to Rhoda’s at Southern Hospitatlity!
4th of July
John 8:32
The kids and I did a little crafting yesterday. We made 4th of July Pinwheels!
You can find the full tutorial here 🙂 They turned out really cute….
May God bless you all today as we celebrate our freedom. Freedom in the USA. Freedom to worship. Freedom to choose Jesus. Thank you to all the service men and women who have courageously stood for our freedoms!
Crazy About Chalkboards
This is the chalkboard in our school room. The story is: my dad found four great chalkboards leaning against a dumpster right outside a local bakery. They were changing their displays and were just going to throw them out! Yikes! He gave this one to me.
I wiped it down and proceeded to hand paint several little whimsical designs on the borders, right on the wood. I did this last year before I began blogging so I didn’t even think to document the process. 🙁
