I’m just gonna let this post speak for itself. I’m sure there are plenty of you out there who can relate. Well, wait a sec….I better give a little credit as there may be more “typical” posts in the future……so…..age: 2 …..culprit: Hank
…I ran into the thrift store this weekend and found these!!
….in totally pristine condition! I’m kinda funny about preworn shoes but these are a plastic material so easily wiped and sprayed with lysol….okay back to the deal….$3.00…ha! These retail for $35.00…check them out here. They are OkaB. brand ……gold with a big ‘ol flower! So cute with my painted tootsies this summer. So….my find was completely indulgent and selfish…..no DIY projects this time around 🙂 Join Rhoda at Southern Hospitality for her ‘Today’s Thrifty Treasures’
Daily I am continuing to be inspired by the blogs I follow. I simply love peeking into someone’s kitchen or reading nook to see how the space it used and how it is decorated. I thought it would be fun to start sharing some of our spaces too.
The bedding, quilt, chair pillow, curtain and rug are Pottery Barn Kids all purchased on ebay. My in-laws gave us this gliding chair/ottoman when we had our first, and while its not the most deco savvy…I love it! That little hutch was also purchased in Shipshewana.
I have a beautiful scripture on the wall above the nightstand that used to be in the girls’ room.
So we take off Friday morning…..the whole fam. I’m not sure what it is but getting ready for vacation puts me in uber organizer, get everything done NOW mode! My mind is saying “huh?” I mean having my pantry organized is great but not when I have a bazillion other things I need to be doing……
……..like making sure everyone has undies and jammies for the trip! 🙂 So today entailed lots of laundry, organinzing the pantry, the spice cupboard and the lazy susan. Oh yeah, and a few things got packed for vacay…….
Each little girl brought home a little cardboard purse/goodie bag from Hobby Lobby. Inside was a pencil, wand, bracelet, hair pretty and two chocolates all from the Dollar Store.
We used tulle around the backs of the chairs and for draping the light fixture.
The centerpiece was a square glass vase that I had, stuffed with tulle with pink sequined stars on a stick that were 90% off at Hobby Lobby in the Christmas section!!! Score! 🙂 🙂
